The Languedoc terroir

The Languedoc vineyard is located in the south of France and covers 4 departments: Aude, Gard, Hérault and Pyrénées-Orientales. Its geographical location offers an incredible diversity of soils and contrasting climates. It is one of the largest wine-growing regions in the world with around 300,000 hectares of vine and several AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée). Languedoc wines have boomed in recent years, thanks to the remarkable quality of its terroir. Today it is one of the most vibrant wine-producing areas in France. Several generations of work have gone into ensuring the quality and authenticity of these unique wines. At present, Languedoc boasts more than forty AOC varieties, including prestigious names such as Pic Saint Loup.
